Two and a half hours discussion, a lot on powers of slaughter (a number of MSPs thought these needed reducing---dont we all !!) a lot on tail docking of dogs, a little on circuses and licensing of animal sanctuaries, little mention of livery yard licensing. 2 MSPs highlighted ragwort poisoning including my local MSP Elaine Murray. Also highlighted a farmers child or any child will no longer be allowed to 'own' a pet lamb or other animal--but suspect it will make no difference on most farms.
