Mary and Warmwell

Dear, Dear Mary, where would we be without you ? I read your site at 6–30 in the morning and again in the evening, in case you posted something new that I should know about straight away ! How will we get independant reports of what's going on ? Who will hold us together ? We all started off down the road of resistance post 2001 holocaust and, although most of us have never met in person, It does not stop us regarding you, Jane and many, many others, as friends. You ,along with Jane, are often our rock when we are disheartened and wonder what we are doing and where we are going and, above all, whether its worth it. It is a time when we need to support you and offer encouragement when its usually the other way around. Have you any idea just how many people do read Warmwell and take heart because there are others of a like mind out here fighting still ? We have not won yet but we must not give up trying even if it times(and this is clearly one for you) we do not think we are achieving anything. It may seem like building a motorway with a nailfile and a toothpick sometimes but persistance pays. We have something that this Government and Defra/Seerad cannot rob us of and that is we know we are right, we know we have a just cause, if you like, a crusade. We would like justice but thats harder than hens teeth to find nowadays. We would settle for it not happening again if we have to but, give up ???? Never, Mary, not whilst there's breath to curse them and a finger to type and report their many and varied transgressions. Gird up your loins, lass, the fight isn't over yet. Keep on questioning, you find out what we cannot, you have contacts. Keep being a thorn in their side, a pain in their backside. Do not go away, we beg you. You are our friend and the friend of many whom you have never met. You are often inspirational and give us the fire to go on. So, please don't even contemplate throwing in a face cloth, much less the towel. Stick with it and us, please God, we will win through in the end. We owe it to the 10
million plus animals who died.
Frances (fighting still, as usual )

I am very grateful to those who have responded to my rather pathetic cri-de-coeur yesterday! If you did so privately, I shall reply today.
If only there were a few more hours in the day, if only one could make a living fighting for what is self-evidently right, if only there were more people at DEFRA who were prepare to question – (and there are some).., if only Downing St had not got itself into such a state.... – but I know we ALL feel these things.
My very best wishes to all and a special thank you to Jane who set this forum up in the first place.
Mary
