Shame if they had to slaughter the whole of the National Flock, then ? What a waste of money that would be. Mind you, isn't that what Defra does best ? Ignores important issues like the lack of abattoirs in a great many areas and the subsequent stress of many animals going for slaughter having to travel very long distances first. What about animal welfare then ? If It suits them, its ignored. Just as well no brewery has ever asked them to organise a booze-up anywhere ? Frances
