Anything that displaces the copper atoms will cause TSE's.

The "Staggers" was caused by lead poisoning from lead pipes and lead lined drinking bowls. Mineral deficient animals will actually "crib" on lead.

Don't forget benzene as a cause of TSE's, benzene compounds are electromagnetic and act in the same way as metals.
