Mona,
I'm sorry to hear about your horrible day, but my night wasn't too good after reading about the compulsory scrapie testing either, although I am glad you posted it.
I have 3 cracking ram lambs this year, none of my sheep are scrapie tested and I was trying to keep well out of it all, knowing full well what absolute "rubbish science" it all is.
Now what do I do? I would have liked to sell them as shearlings next year...2005.
Seems I either slaughter them for meat this year or risk getting drawn in to testing and still have the likelihood of compulsory slaughter....... I've never even seen a case of scrapie and I have 2 old girls of ten and 4 of eight, here and have known others locally who were even older.
I wish there was a god or an angel who could put a rocket up the backsides of some of these research b*****ds instead of more and more public money in their pockets.
Joyce
