They cannot pay these bills, they have no money. It is as simple and as complex as that. How much do you anticipate the war in Iraq costs this government per day ? I think we might be flabbergasted. If we could have chosen to have the same amount spent on education or the bottomless pit of the NHS, would we have done so ? Tony Blair has seemingly, never cared much about this country and its people, preferring to jet around the world to try and establish himself as an politician of international renown, finding it cumbersome to return home to face our own petty little problems. If this is truly how he wishes to go down in history, the sooner he moves over and lets another have a go the better. What we have learned from this government is how to spin, how to mislead, and, of course, if all else fails, to lie through your teeth with conviction. This may be what the British Public remember about "Blairism ". Frances
