UK''s Chief Veterinarian Report - 1999 - Disease Problems
Originally from: Burkie
Dear Jane: This gives insight into a lot of the animal health and disease problems you had in the U.K in past years, before Classical Swine Fever and FMD.
It is quite revealing as to the activities and non-performance of the MAFF/DEFRA and Veterinary Services at that time.
It tells what they were aware of , what they intended to do and prioritizations.
You might want to pay special attention to such things as:
Bovine TB
Badger issues
PMWS and PDNS – said to be occurring then
Classic Swine Fever
Vesicular diseases
One needs to compare "then" to "now."
