The Emergence of the Supergreens.

This is the second in the trilogy of works
highlighting the views of those in the so-called green
movement. The first of the trilogy focused on
so-called green individuals. The third will explore
the greenness, or rather, the lack of it, amongst
green organizations and the vicious, politically
conventional, muppets in the media from journalists to
the rich and famous. This issue explores loose
associations of so-called greens i.e. people who have
ideas in common – whether they belong to a formal
organization or not. At one point in this conceptual
star are those who share similar ideas because they
belong to the same generation – the vietnam war
generation produced what is called here the
supergreens; at another point are those who share
similar ideas because they belong to the same family
e.g. the goldsmiths; at another point are those
sharing common ideas because they’re involved in the
same type of so-called green work i.e. the organic
farming brigade; and, finally, there are those who
share ideas but have no formal, or even informal,
connections with each other e.g. the biospherians i.e.
those who believe oomans need green politics in order
to colonize the solar system, the rest of the galaxy,
and the universe beyond.

After a brief sojourn into the pages of this irreverent and hard to read (too much background interference) website, the conclusion I draw is that the content is an extention of the greatest discovery of the 20th century, ie psychological propaganda

Dear Lina,
Who are the people behind these articles ( you have just posted their address
) that are totally hammering the farming community on every conceivable level of the irrational, misguided, prejudiced... ?
They call themselves the Mundi Club, but I know little more. They wrote a very lengthy inaccurate document about me and my BSE research which was positively defamatory at several points in the article. For instance, I was accused of deliberately feeding meat and bone meal to my organic beef cattle and then selling that beef as organic to the public. Since I have never been a beef farmer in my life and never sold any beef to the public – let alone organic beef – I tried to get in touch with these .............to protest , but found that every contact address or email that they gave was duff.
If the Mundi Club were a force to be reckoned with, then I suppose that I ought to have sued their internet service provider ( yahoo ) for hosting bogus defamatory disinformation !!
Best,
Mark

Kathleen Jannaway was the publisher of a magazine?? 'New Leaves' in the 1980's. She was/is a very active Vegan. I always believed that she was a Quaker, if so I am dismayed that she could be involved with anything which smacks of belligerent controversy. From experience, being too forceful in your beliefs/prejudices does not 'convert' anyone. Quiet persuasion works much better, whatever the message.
People such as the Animal Liberation movements and etc., should realise that it is not a perfect World and never will be.
Anyway, if we all agreed with each other what a sad, boring life it would be.
Changing the subject, did you read the front page scare story in the Daily Mail today, "JARS OF BABY FOOD IN CANCER ALERT", another Sean Poulter effort. The contaminant is only measurable because of new technology and is no more than 25 parts per billion. The fact that many babies became ill and sometimes died because of badly prepared and unhygenically served home made food is overlooked. I am not advocating prepared food but it is better than what will be served to babies in many homes.
One of the greatest risks to babies is being pushed around in a pushchair in towns and cities just inches away from car exhausts. No one is advocating banning cars or babies from our streets!!!
Cheers, Ron

Hi Ron,
Yes i suppose you are right if we all agreed it would
be a terrible boring world. But the things that are
being said about farmers and farming are in my opinion
disgusting.
No i did not see the article about the baby food in
the Daily mail. Could you post that?
You know i never really thought about baby's and car
exhausts, but you are very right about that. I did
read something a while back about oxygen houses in
China, places were you can inhale pure fresh oxygen if
i remember correctly that had something to do with car
fumes and smog as well.
Take care,
Lina
ps, when are you going to send us another one of your
stories? I really miss reading them.

Hi Lina,
I would not worry too much about the fanatics of the Mundi Club – most of them ( probably no more than a handful of people ) are no doubt just a bunch of angry rag bag individuals who have found a 'cause' through which to vent their extreme frustrations that are probably more to do with being rejected as a kid than with any genuine concern for the actual 'cause' they profess to be promoting. Its like all extremist groups – be they terrorist or socio-politically based – their membership is invariably very angry inside and often slightly psychopathic....I have often watched these kind of folk flitting between one cause and another cause within the space of one month. They go with whatever is the 'in vogue' fashion of the moment. They are just as happy screaming out ( or expressing themselves through the intellectual mode like the Mundi ) anti meat slogans as pro racist slogans, as long as they are venting their inner anger.
Total way out idiots that they are, It is probably best to ignore them since that withdraws the oxygen from their flames of fury – so they are extinguished.
Best,
Mark

Not only was in the papers Ron but SIR Krebbs was giving interviews on the radio yesterday – the 'Today Programme' being one. He did say 'not to panic' and yes if his daughters were still babies he would use food from these containers. Apparently it is the rubber seal inside the jar.
What about the smoke from parents who smoke not only after the birth – but during the birth. Food scares are a definate cert thought aren't they for earning some journalist pennies somewhere in the World these days!
