There has been a concerted campaign against milk probably since Thatcher abolished "school milk" in the 1970's.

Since then a couple of generations of obese, diabetic people have grown up.

Two other conditions directly attributable to lack of milk in the diet are IBS and colitis (precursers of colonic cancer)
