Anyone seen Nick Green's posting about Pirbright on Warmwell ?These are very interesting questions and probably have even more interesting answers if we can but find them.I wondered why Paul Kitching left his job for Canada at a time when the services of Pirbright lab. and his own expertise and knowledge were sorely needed. I had no idea that Elliott Morley had visited him over there, although I did hear that Kitching's family had stayed put, but don't know if that was true. Just where is Donaldson going ?Is Kitching coming back to Pirbright ? Certainly Nick, these ARE very important questions and I for one, would just love to hear the answers. About your phone being tapped, no can't help you there, except to say you must be perceived as a threat for them to do it, so its a compliment, in a way. I sincerely hope that you are a threat to the continued insulting, disgraceful, shameful cover-up that prevails, particularly in Defra/Seerad.(now, when you answer your phone, don't forget to say "Hello" to MI5 ). No, I don't think you're paranoid either, before you ask ! Frances

Hi Francis! No I hadn't, but I have now! To be honest I doubt there is much very 'sinister' in the answers Nick is seeking. We have to remember Paul Kitching was critical of the policy and so may well have been 'sidelined' and fortunately landed a job in Canada pro tem. I understand he had always intended/hoped to return to the UK before long.

I doubt Alex Donaldson is going anywhere, except perhaps into retirement and the fact that Elliot Morley visited Dr.Kitching in Canada may well have been to offer him the job at Pirbright or simply to visit a friend.

As for phone tapping – if indeed that is true – does it matter?
In all the long months I have operated Farmtalking I have to admit I have never heard 'clicking' on the line except on one occasion when talking to Nick!

I have nothing to hide or be ashamed of so if anyone wants to listen in, that's fine by me! As I've said before, perhaps if 'they' had tuned into Farmtalking from the start we wouldn't be in the pickle we are now!
