In tetany the bloating is due to enteritis, ie. the bloating is intestinal rather than gastric. The fluid test you reccommended should determine whether or not it's gas or fluid.

Convulsions do happen in tetany, hence the tendancy to confuse with epilepsy, but convulsions causing colic are not always perceptible to the observer.

If Sue tries my dietary reccommendation results will be apparent within a very short space of time (if I am correct of course).
