Hello again Sue, You say your sheep has fluid in the tissues ? Would this be more so in the abdominal area ? Its called ascites and means that fluid is leaking into the abdominal cavity. Your vet should have demonstrated a "fluid thrill" to you by holding a hand one side of the belly and flicking the other, you can actually feel the wave ! This condition is usually associated with liver damage or I'm afraid the big "C". We had a shetland with a somewhat similar condition last year, she bloated like a balloon. The other condition that could have caused this was a rumen that had completely broken down and was not working. I do not want to further burden you with more including the prognosis but ,if you are desperate you could try 2 homeopathic remedies for the bloat, colchicum, and the colic, colicynthis.Remember, never say die until you have to, you could be discovering things no-one else has and your subsequent advice to another in the future could be life-saving. Good luck, we are thinking of you and the sleepless nights. If ONLY we knew more. Frances
