I read the latest to come from Defra about the escalating demand for badger culling, is to vaccinate them with BCG ( yes the very same as used on us, the one that was mooted as being able to be used years ago by those that knew what they were talking about !!!). There is a real sense of urgency about this research as it is only due to start in 2006 and will continue for 3 years. Will there be any non-infected cattle around by then, I wonder ? What does it take to get these dozy individuals off their collective butt ? This is not action, this is further delaying tactics, a ploy exhibited and recognised by any that have had to deal with a government department recently. Even the wording is similar. Is there a school for spin operating somewhere that gives lectures in these sort of tactics.What was it Blair once said about open government? Now,surely, that must have been spin? Frances
