you should be able to get the clause lifted by approaching the relevant planning department, and pointing out how nobody can possibly make a living out of ten acres these days, and , given the length of time that has passed since it was originally set up, they should waiver the restriction. which would be brilliant for you, since values can literally double in some instances.

This approach has usually worked for people seeking to lift their Ag tie in somerset, but this same arguement will not convince the planners if the approval for permission with agri tie has only been granted within the last ten years. They assume that you are speculating . However people have fought and won cases in this area, mainly because the councils are strapped for cash and are loathed to fork out funds for lengthy court cases which they might loose at the end of the day.
