Hi Joyce, Sorry to hear that you have to have hip replacements. Presumably they will do one, let you settle and if all goes well have you back for the other ? Many say that it transforms their lives although I wouldn't enter any marathons yet ! To be free of the constant nagging pain must be good ? My arthritis is mainly the fingers and you can imagine what its like trying to catch sheep (especially Shetlands ) with little strength and virtually no grip ? I have had to resort to a crook and hope the sheep is not strong enough to pull it from my hand or in a small pen, its amazing how adept you can get with your knees !!! Needs must and neccesity being the mother of invention. I hope all goes well for you, it must take some organising on the home front and I imagine you will have a way to travel to hospital as well ? Ain't life wonderful ? Years ago, this option would not have even been available to us so some progress is good. Best Wishes, Frances
