My sheep were blood tested in 1997 for the above.
Letter recd April 1998 from Scottish Office--
All GB results proved negative. In total 2131 sheep flocks and 269 goat herds were sampled for contagious agalactia and 1391 sheep flocks and 205 goat herds for brucella melitensis. In addition 6599 aborted sheep or goat foetuses submitted to vet investigation centres were tested for BM and milk and udder samples from 43 sheep and 33 goats with mastitis were tested for CA.
The results supported our claim for disease free status for Brucella Melitensis and contagious agalactia granted by the EC Commission
