Here we go again, the slaughter squads are in business again. Its to be the killing fields of Cornwall this time around. Why do they have to look at slaughter as their first option ? You can stop the disease in its tracks but you have no cattle left at the end. Its such an archaic way to deal with disease in this day and age. Who decides the best option is killing everything in sight ? What are they taught in Vet schools now ? Do they ever consider there just might be another way ? It may even be cheaper. Yes, I'm talking about the "V" word. No, not viagra, vaccination. Not in the Defra dictionary perhaps ? Like the Dring report, notable by its absence in certain areas(maybe on page 22). Selfish to be grateful Cornwall is a long way away, do you think ? Frances
