FARM is now into its second year and looking forward to the challenges ahead. Buoyed by the success of our first AGM in December we have been busy taking our message far and wide. Notable events include a place on the platform of the Arable Question Time event alongside Sir Ben Gill and Lord Haskins, contributing to Radio 4's Farming Today New Year Special on subsidies, and debating the role of Supermarkets at the Oxford Farming Conference.

One of the messages to come out of our AGM was that we should be making the best use of the skills and experience of our members. As was obvious at the AGM and from the organisation of the recent ‘Calendar Girls breakfast’ (see below), there’s plenty of expertise and enthusiasm out there for FARM to tap into. Our task is to provide our members with campaign communications and materials for to take up and out into their local communities. We look forward to working more closely with our members over the coming year.
