Dear Friend,

Anita Roddick here -- I am writing on behalf of Our World Our Say (OWOS), to ask you to join me in an effective and targeted initiative to help call the Government to account over the way they led Britain into war with Iraq.

OWOS is aiming to get at least 50,000 to sign the ONLY petition in the UK calling for a full judicial inquiry into whether Parliament and the British people were misled over the threat from Iraq. This petition will be handed in to 10 Downing Street on the anniversary of the war, the 19th March.

Time is short. Please take a few moments to sign the petition at: http://www.owos.info/petition/index.php

For those who do not know, OWOS was founded in January 2003 in response to widespread public disillusionment with the government's drive to war. In less than 12 months, OWOS have run 40 large adverts in the national press and mobilised over 55,000 supporters combining both online and offline activism.

It is now over a year since the Government used the infamous "45-minute claim" to make their case for war. Yet no weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq. The "clear and present danger" the British public were warned about has not materialised.

Many soldiers and Iraqi civilians have lost their lives or their loved ones and British taxpayers have had to foot a massive bill.

The Our World Our Say petition is perhaps the final opportunity to demand the truth about the decision to go to war. Despite the Hutton Inquiry, the Prime Minister has been able to avoid answering the bigger questions. Only a full judicial inquiry will suffice.

You can click http://www.owos.info/how_you_can_help/email_a_friend.php to send a copy of this email to friends and colleagues. Whatever you do, please act now.

Thank you.
