Dishonest scientists and clever marketing are persuading a gullible public to switch to "dairy free" products that comprise mostly sugar and water.
One example is Alpro Soya Dairy Free Custard + Calcium, a 525 gramme carton contains water, sugar, and a mere 15.75 grammes of soya protein and 0.63 grammes of calcium.
Not an egg in sight, I always thought custard should have eggs in it?
