So – It seems that to follow the Government's way of doing things, when we receive an invoice from the Garage for the servicing of a car, or from the Grocer for goods supplied, we could delay payment and request them to provide evidence of the costs they incurred.

It could go on for months while we continue to claim they had failed to produce enough evidence and therefore the due date for payment is not established either. The interest due them for late payment is also avoided and we might even get the invoice reduced eventually! Terrific!

I suppose we could always follow the Government's way as demonstratd by them with regard to FMD vaccination. There are so many things that are right and we are obliged to do but perhaps would rather not! Such as – Vaccinate our children, send them to school, work for a living and pay our taxes! How about saying such actions 'remain an option'?

After all, the Government's been saying that for years so why not?

I suppose the only reason we don't is that most of us, unlike our Government, are responsible, honest and care for our animals and fellow men. We're prepared to admit our mistakes and apologise, pay our bills no questions asked. and work hard to do what we know is right. Pathetic really!
