For those members who are not also members of the FMD New board – Bryn sends the following update re: Mary Critchley –

"Dear friends,
 
I have spoken with Tony (York) this morning and he is thrilled to see the troops rally round to send Mary flowers. As we speak, £50 is winging its way to Tony; and coincidently Mary's brother Robert, is carrying our love and best wishes to Mary in hospital. He is very touched at our gestures.
 
Robert has had the lovely idea that he times the presentation of the flowers when Mary gets home, which I am pleased to say may well be this coming Monday. It is not certain, but that's on the cards.
 
One of the factors in keeping back the flowers till homecoming is the small size of Mary's hospital room......... such a huge bunch would bulk the place out, and as she has some flowers in there already; the added surprise come Monday, would be icing on the cake. So I hope that arrangement of Robert's is fine with you all. Certainly is for me and Carol.
 
Tony as you all know is still doing his "Pigs in Paradise" teaching sessions and is holding a seminar back here in England this week-end, so he will handing the reigns to one of Mary's friend down there in France, Adele.
 
I am sure all your kindness and generosity with the flower-money will lift Mary's spirit and help in her recovery.
 
I heard from Elliot Morley that vaccination is an option !
 
There will probably be more news over the week-end, so I will keep you in touch. The daft thing is, I still don't have the hospital address, but if you want to phone Mary I have her bedside number. I won't publish it here for obvious reasons.
