I had a row with my last ISP about the 'spam', most of which was objectionable. They told me that most of this stuff is computer generated and the address's do not exist. Neither do most of the web sites you are 'invited' to visit. It is badness just designed to clog up the Internet. Spam from a clearly identified location that is repeated can be easily dealt with by putting the sender on your Blocked Senders List. It's one of the options under Message in your main Menu. I have several names there, they just go straight in to your Deleted Box.

Joyce is right, just delete them without opening. Hopefully they may give up. If it is too bad change your email address.

I am investigating McFee Spamkiller if it's claims are as good as they say it will solve 99% of the problem.

20 plus spam and a couple of 'real' e-mails this am.... as per usual.... I simply delete them, bit of a pest but a small price to pay for instant access all over the globe!
Some folks change their addresses but I'm sure the spammers catch up! Best wishes,

Unfortunately 'spam' of all kinds seems to be on the increase and most ISP's are trying to find a way to eradicate it. However, that can't be easy as the very nature of e-Mail means that once someone has your e-Mail address they can write to you. 'Spammers' tend to use auto-responders to send messages and have huge address lists which are often circulated for free on the web and may include any of ours among them.

There is little we can do about it except remembering never to open mail
unless we know who sent it to us and deleting all mail which falls in that category. Also, remebering never to 'unsubscribe' to a spammers e-Mail as to do so simply confirms our existance!

Some e-Mail programs do filtre out a proportion of 'Junk' mail and give us
the option to create our own filtres for mail we expect from those we know, enabling us to delete all the rest.

I know it's a nuisance but far outweighed by the benefits afforded by
e-Mail!

I'm sure the recent dirth of messages is simply beacuse Christmas is
rapidly approaching and our members have other things to do just now!
