Dear Ron, Loved your posting re. sheep. I can top that. Some years ago, I had a sheep that had a bad mastitis, post lambing. She, with much tlc, eventually pulled through but it was cold and much of her fleece parted company with her and she shivered. Solution ? A warm jumper in a vibrant purple hue, sleeves rolled up, very natty and did she fancy herself in it ! It got colder, and more fleece fell off and the woolly jumper (shame on me, it was actually acrylic ) did not cover an adequate area in the nether regions. Solution ? A cardigan was added, it was longer and fitted the job perfectly. We lost one of her lambs but one survived and she herself, name of Treacle ,lived to raise two more crops of lambs. Being defficient in the mammary dept.(no working udder) I fed them and she "mothered" them. What a gutsy sheep she was, I shall never forget her. That's how bad it can get, Ron, you are , as yet, an amateur lad ! Cheers, Frances
P.S. Not a Shetland, this time, but a coloured Ryeland.........
