I love books. I am not sure how many books there are in this house, probably more than a thousand. Books on a variety of subjects from cooking to philosophy. Old books and very new books. I wander along the shelves picking a book up almost at random and there is always something interesting to read.

I have to thank those people, who, almost seventy years ago taught me to read and more importantly taught me to understand what I read.

Also, I thank those people who introduced the Public Library and especially for the Mobile Library, so important in remote rural areas like ours. As I write the Mobile appears at our door! On it's last visit I found "Sweat and Inspiration, Pioneers of the Industrial Age", by Martin Worth. In the Prologue I found these two paragraphs, which prove yet again that it's all Great Britain's fault. Well at least it's The British and not just the English <G>.
