So your advice is that we should not join the NSP scheme.
We have just purchased a Shetland Ram who tested, (before we acquired him), ARR/ARR R1. The NSP could not accept that he could be R1 as his parents did not satisfy the requirements to produce R1. He was tested again and was R1. The testers argued that the parents were wrong so DNA tested him. Result, correct parents. He is now registered to us, we have been told that they wish to test him again, though they have not approached us yet. My view is rather like the Russian leader when told that the USA had the capability to destroy the World 30 times over, said "Isn't once enough?". I am afraid that I wouldn't trust the result unless it was R1.
