I have posted a number of times about conversations I have had with Mark Hendrick, Labour MP for Preston North. He is Margaret Beckett's Parliamentary Private Secretary so, short of talking to Ms. Beckett herself , Mark Hendrick is about as near as you can get.

Yes, farmers are a minority group, but worse than that they are despised by New Labour who resent seeing public money going to subsidise an industry run by the hunting, shooting and fishing brigade. (BEFORE YOU REACH FOR YOUR KEYBOARDS THAT IS THEIR PERCEPTION, NOT MINE,)

Mark Hendrick's attitude to the possibility of BSE in sheep is he would rather see 40 million dead sheep than 1 dead human.

Why not diversify? Convert the buildings into holiday accommodation for groups of black, lesbian, single parents.

Not as daft as it sounds, I mean once the children see all those fluffy sheep they wouldn't want the Wicked Witch of Westminster to kill them all !!

Bill.
