Dear Lina
I certainly don't think you're an idiot and I'm pleased to know you're Dutch. I've enjoyed my visits to Holland some years ago and have always admired your countrymen's manner of 'straight speaking'! It may have made them hard to do business with but at least we always knew exactly where we stood with them!
I did visit the link you posted, read it and quoted from it but did not find a date on it. That is the only reason I asked if you knew when it had been written, which you've now told me was January 20th this year.
As I said, I am delighted to know more of the current vaccine is to be made available both in your country and world wide, because we know it works and can halt the disease.
A new and better long term vaccine, as described previously, is still to be researched and does not exist today but that doesn't mean we have to wait for it. Nevertheless, I'm sure we will welcome it when it arrives.
Please don't feel sad, but welcome new research as I do. It is being proposed because what they seek is not material that's already here.
At the same time please welcome the fact that the vaccine that has been available for some years and could have been used during 2001 is going to be used in the event of another outbreak and used in your own country as well as in other parts of the world today.
I know you only joined this message board in September, so cannot be expected to know everyone else who contributes, including me!
Please understand that I welcome your contributions, certainly have no intention of causing you offence or removing you, or anyone else, from this message board.
(Spam messages are the only ones I delete if I catch them in time!)
Members are welcome to come and go as they wish and all I ask is that they be polite and couteous in their postings.
