Yes, this one is very relevant to farming because the Government is paying NHS doctors to push Cholesterol lowering drugs and promote cholesterol lowering foods such as Flora Margarine.

The cholesterol lowering is achieved because polyunsaturates interfere with the natural metabolism of cholesterol and cause larger than normal amounts to be convert into cholesterol derivatives such as oestrogens (estrogens is the American spelling).

As you will have seen in the newspapers this week increased levels of oestrogens are associated with breast cancer.

One of the other cancers I strongly suspect of being caused by consumption of polyunsaturates is cancer of the brain (brain tumor).
