Prime Minister Tony Blair has been branded the most unpopular figure in Britain as he topped a poll to find the nation's "worst" person.
Despite reinventing the Labour Party and leading it to two huge Parliamentary wins he has proved to be more unpopular than Baroness Thatcher, who finished third.
Channel 4 fielded votes from 100,000 people to compile its list for a TV countdown in which the 100 Worst Britons were named and shamed.
The anti-war lobby could be partly to blame for Blair's downfall, as votes were cast in February and March, as the war on Iraq loomed.
The result is a far cry from May 1997 when Blair was seen as the saviour of the nation as Labour swept to power after 18 years of Tory rule.
